Dragon Ball Xenoverse How To Create More Characters

Yes you can create more characters and yes the other slots are locked because you didn't beat the game.

It got too difficult for me. How did you end up getting through?

Probably similar to the first, beat the game and make another character. But what I'm kinda hoping for this time is each character having their own progression instead of making a new character whose story is already complete and have full access to all PQs Mentors etc. And if not that, at the very least, each character should be able to have their own mentor. Though I suppose if they did let every character have their own progression then restricting it to after you've beaten the game would be a bit backwards. We'll see.

By playing the game and leveling up, and i would recommend beating it before playing XV2 so you can transfer skills and equipment over from your previous character

If you're not doing PQs, that may be your problem. You not only level up but you also gain new equipment and skills. Also take a mentor to learn even more skills.

Also, a large part of learning to deal with later game PvE combat in Xenoverse 1 is learning to deal with enemy Super Armor.

Super armor spam is apparently no longer a thing for Xenoverse 2, fortunatly. So while their AI is improved, you also probbaly won't have to punch Beerus in the face 20 times or multiple charged Hard attacks before he starts actually flinching from being hit for a short while.

But yeah. Good odds they will gate extra character slots between beating the main plot again. You didn't need to beat all the PQs or anything in Xeno 1, just the main plot. But PQs tend to have all the drops and stuff in them.

honestly in the first xenoverse i did my first character as a saiyan so i could speed through the story after i unlocked super saiyan even though i wanted a human and frieza race, i also used that character to unlock most of the skills in PQs so that later characters could already have them.

I heard that super saiyan is different in xv 2 so you can't super spam anymore which is good for online but it'll probably mean going through the story will be a bit harder. I'll probably start with my favorite build first this time and unlock everything on that one character. (Human Kaioken User is my favorite)

if it like xenoverse one you unlock more slot when you beat the game or use to wish for more slots

Tips for you to beat the game:

1. Do PQs as a Saiyan to level up and get attribute points
2. Save up money to buy gear to get you good stats for Ki builds
3. Go look up a Saiyan Spam Build and just do that for every PQ/Story mission until you beat the game.

You don't need to beat the game with a character you like. You can beat the game to unlock the other character slots, and then make whatever character you WANT and then fix up that character how you want for DBX2 transfer.

This, if you wanna transfer something and do it quick. Though I think the character you wanna trasnfer has to have beaten the story.

Clearing the story is universal. Once you've done it, all characters have "completed the story". You could halfway finish the story, delete your character, and make a new character, and you won't have lost any progress.

Yeah exactly this, which is awesome because if you're someone who likes recording cutscenes or taking screenshots of cutscenes you can return to the time vault and rewatch cutscenes with ANY character even if they were created seconds ago.
